Easy and Healthy Eating!

Image
Don't let sugar cravings, carb craziness, salt mania, and fat frenzy get you off track! Start your day right with some yummy and healthy food, and get on the right track for the day. Waffle Taco: 1 whole wheat toaster waffle 1/2 tbsp peanut butter 1/4 C slightly crushed blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries Prepare the waffle according to the package directions. Spread the peanut butter on the waffle. Cup the waffle in your hand, add the berries, then squeeze lightly. Think of it as a berry breakfast taco. I  like to use CHIA or hempseed waffles. Tropical Fruit Smoothie The sweet, colorful flesh of mango and papaya makes a super refreshing smoothie that is low in fat and full of flavor. A vitamin C powerhouse, this thick, tangy smoothie packs a nutritional punch, making it the perfect rejuvenator, whether enjoyed during breakfast or as a midafternoon snack. Try adding a splash of coconut milk for a colada-style shak

Tracy Anderson Method Via Dean Somerset- Golden Information

I just came across this very informative and well balanced blog posting by Dean Somerset - a respected personal trainer and exercise specialist. If you think that it's not ok for a woman to lift weights, I mean real weights, please read! It explains via science how it is not possible for the average woman to bulk up by lifting heavy things! Great read.

Choosing a Personal Trainer

How to Choose Your Personal Trainer! That can be tough;  you shouldn't just go with the first one that pops onto your radar, you should be picky! I recently had the opportunity to meet with some ladies who wanted a trainer, and they were planning on shopping around. I thought that was a great idea! In fact, I just wrote an article on How To Choose a Personal Trainer which is published in February's issue of Alive magazine . Obviously I am all for people shopping around; I do it all the time for services! However, I never even got the chance to meet in person these ladies, as they jumped into a plan with another trainer before our appointment had a chance to happen. Oh well, too bad. My point is, shop around, ask questions, and get an idea of what your trainer can offer you, what their credentials are, if they are certified through  a reputable agency, and what their agenda is. I would love to hear what you thin of the article ! All the best, Nicole
